Sports Business Journal @sbjsbd – Virtual Events and Podcast
If you follow us on social media, you know that we have mentioned Sports Business Journal. They have shifted all their 2020 events to virtual events. Their latest series, The Road Ahead, has been a three-part series that is led by the SBJ staff and has speakers from the NBA, NFL, NHL, MLB, USTA, college sports, and more.

National Sports Forum @natlsportsforum – Virtual Summits
National Sports Forum is another one of our partners. We have worked with them on a multitude of conferences. They are one of the largest annual sports conferences in North America. They bring together sports professionals from the NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, NASCAR, and many more!
They host an annual conference every year but also host seasonal summits as well. Due to the current pandemic, they have moved their summits to a virtual platform. You can register for their Fall Summit here.

Show Maker Symposium @shwmkrsymposium – Live Webinars and Virtual Workshops
Show Maker Symposium is made up of music industry professionals and with the mission to create “a place for us to gather, learn, and give back. During these uncertain times, we will shine as much light as possible towards the end of the tunnel and provide as many resources as available for growth and mental resilience”. They have a variety of webinars and virtual workshops:
- I’m With the Crew : This webinar is a live weekly discussion that is hosted by Misty Roberts and Jim Digby. It’s also guided by mental health professionals Taryn Longo and Dave Sherman and have weekly guest. The focus of the webinar is to have a human approach and how to adapt to the current state of the world.
- Wrong End of the Snake : This webinar is a live weekly discussion that is hosted by Ken “Pooch” Van Druten and Kevin “Tater” McCarthy. Both hosts have decades of experience in the industry and every week look back on their experiences, giving tidbits of advice and have special guests from time to time. One of their past guests happened to be ACCESS client, Mike Shinoda.
- Concert Business Basics : This virtual workshop series is hosted by Jen Kellogg and includes several special guests. This workshop series is great for those beginning their career in the concert industry as there are sessions on routing, riders, tour budgets, and more!
Tour Management 101 @tourmgmt101–Webinar
Tour Management 101 is a weekly live webinar hosted by Mary Jo Kaczka, Mark Clark, Doug Wilson, Adriane Biondo, Henry Bordeaux, Jim Runge, and David 5’1 Norman. On top of being led by highly esteemed professionals in the music industry (and a few ACCESS clients), they also have special guests on almost every episode!
The main premise of the webinar is “teaching the next generation of the concert industry” and it achieves this by discussing a variety of industry topics such as, fundamentals of touring, merch 101, production 101 but also have covered diversity and activism. You can find out more here.
Northstar Meetings Group @northstarmeetings– Eventful: The Podcast for Meeting Professionals
Northstar Meetings Group is an online platform that provides a multitude of services to sports event organizers, planners, and incentive program professionals from a variety of sectors. Their podcast, Eventful, started in June 2019 and has covered a variety of topics and subjects that event professionals face in the field. They have recently been focusing on COVID and how to transfer your event into a hybrid event as well as liability and how to attract sponsors for virtual events. BizBash @bizbash- GatherGeeks #gathergeeks
BizBash is a mecca for event professionals. Their mission is “to empower event professionals with ideas, intelligence, and resources to create smarter events”. Their website includes event industry news, directories, and several other resources.
One of their main resources is their podcast, GatherGeeks. GatherGeeks is hosted by David Adler who is the chairman and founder of BizBash. In every podcast he discusses trends in the industry and has guest speakers on every episode.

Event Safety Alliance @eventsafetyalliance : Event Safety Podcast
Event Safety Alliance is one of our partners and we are lucky to work with them. They offer several resources one of which is their Event Safety Podcast. The podcast is hosted by Steve Adelman, VP of ESA and Danielle Hernandez, Outreach Director for ESA.
